In an atelier in Minami-Aoyama you learn authentic nihon-ga techniques directly from an artist who represents the Rimpa school, the tradition of the Edo-period master Hoitsu Sakai.
You work with professional materials, either brush painting or gold and silver leaf (additional fees apply for the leaf), and take your finished work home. Along the way you explore the philosophy behind Japanese art.
