The house at Ashigarigo, known as Setoyashiki, dates back some three hundred years and was the home of the Seto family, who once governed the area. You relax on tatami mats around a traditional stove, in a way of life that has largely disappeared.
You enjoy a lunch of local ingredients and take a tour around the nearby town. The villa stays open to you until 5pm, so you can linger once the experience has ended.
