Kabuki has been performed since the early Edo period, nearly four hundred years, and blends drama, music, dance, costume and stage craft. A working kabuki actor gives you a private 60-minute lecture on makeup, wigs, props, instruments and the craft of performing.
Afterwards premium seats are arranged at a performance at Minamiza Theatre, where you watch the actor you met take the stage. The performance lasts about three hours and you may come and go freely. Cancellations are not possible once a booking is confirmed.
